Event Description

And while the dough rises … we PLAY!

This special evening led by Sammy Levy of Challah Days and Atara Vogelstein, LCAT of The Zion Inn & TherapyWalks invites you to get in touch with your inner child in the spirit of community. We will gather and make bread, getting creative with our challah and playful in our bodies. What better way to greet the new year than with fun, spontaneity, hands on art making & baking, and new friends. We will have the chance to embody playfulness and joy through creative challah prep portions with Sammy and Creative Arts & Drama Therapy interaction with Atara. Tune into your inner child, release through movement & voice, go on a group journey, play with crayons and dough … the adventure awaits. And so does your homemade challah.

Small Bites:

  • Open to all genders, faiths, ethnicities, abilities, for adults looking to be in ritualistic Jewish, creative and playful community.
  • For those looking to embrace their inner child this season, make a new friend, and a creative challah shape to take home.
  • Will we mix, roll & braid the dough together for you to bake at home with the original Challah Days DIY baking kit. Dough will be vegan and prepared in a kosher kitchen.
  • We’re excited to partner with the Crown Heights House for this community event.

Space is limited. RSVP.
