Event Description
Join the Wandering Jews of Astoria (WJOA) as we partner with Adamah NY and Astoria Center of Israel (ACI) for “From Oil to Oil,” an evening of olive oil tasting and climate reflection in preparation for Chanukah. We’ll savor fair trade olive oil alongside bread, cheese, olives, and other treats while exploring the miracle of the oil. We will use traditional and modern texts to uncover how this ancient Chanukah story offers unexpected insights into our modern relationship with climate and sustainability. To attend this event, please officially register through this link here. Ali will be the WJOA point person. Please additionally RSVP to her so that we can anticipate you at ACI. Here is the Facebook event.
