Event Description
This September, join New Yorkers of all ages from across NYC, Westchester, and Long Island for ROOTED-a powerful, hands-on volunteer day of environmental service grounded in Jewish values. From parks to beaches to gardens, we’ll roll up our sleeves and care for the earth together, as one big New York family.
ROOTED launches a sacred week of reflection, action, and renewal, closing out Elul and leading us into Rosh Hashanah and Climate Week NYC. Base UWS will clean up a park either in Inwood or South Bronx from 10:00AM-1:00PM; exact info sent to registrants!
Steps to register:
1) Click and register here: adamah.org/rooted
2) Register as “individual or family” and continue to next page
3) Fill out required “just myself” or “me and my family” information and continue to next page
4) Select “Base UWS” from the dropdown menu! (Prompt registration will help make sure that you will be assigned at our group’s preferred location.)
5) Fill out the rest of the form. You can invite your friends and family too—ROOTED is for all ages and all backgrounds. From parks to beaches to gardens, we’ll roll up our sleeves and care for the earth together, as one big New York family.
Thanks to the support of UJA-Federation of New York, participation is completely free!
