SUMMARY:North Point and Pitching Point Loop via Storm Castle Highway at Storm King State Park
DESCRIPTION:Have you been wanted to embrace the colors of Fall with new and old friends? Join us this time as we will be explore Storm King State Park via the North Point and Pitching Point Loop via Storm Castle Highway(see link above). This moderate leveled 3.1 mile hike should last 2 hours with numerous beautiful viewpoints overlooking the Hudson River. The exact length of the hike may vary depending on our speed and how many breaks we take. The hiking portion ought to be done around 3:00/3:30 pm with the optional After Hike Mingle to follow for food and drink at River Outpost Brewing Company\, a 5 minute drive from our initial meetup spot\, the Peekskill Metro North train station. SUMMARY:WJOA Fall Walk Through Westchester
DESCRIPTION:Join the Wandering Jews of Astoria (WJOA) for a fun four-mile fall walk (note that most of the trail will be dirt) through Westchester County on Sunday\, October 25 (rain date from October 11). We’ll be leaving from Manhattan and taking the train to the southern portion of the Old Croton Aqueduct\, with stops such as the scenic Untermeyer Gardens overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades in Yonkers along with Hastings-on-Hudson\, where we’ll break for lunch. \nParticipants should meet at 10:20am at the Harlem-125th Street Metro-North Railroad Station in Manhattan ahead of the 10:36am Hudson Line departure. You can also board the same Hudson Line train at Grand Central Terminal at 10:25am if that is more convenient. We should arrive back in Manhattan before 5pm.
