Event Description
Have you been hiking with us since the beginning? Join us for the 2 year anniversary hike at Nyack Beach State Park on a hike reminiscent of the first at Palisades Interstate Park. This time we will welcome the warmer weather exploring the Nyack Beach State Park via the Hook Mountain and Nyack Beach Loop (see link above). This moderate leveled hike should last 2 hours and 46 minutes with beautiful views and sites. The exact length of the hike may vary depending on our speed and how many breaks we take. The hiking portion ought to be done around 3:00/3:30 pm with the optional After Hike Mingle to follow for food and drink at Bridge View Tavern, a 3 minute drive or a 12 minute walk from the Tarrytown Metro North train station. Meetup Spot: Arrive by 11:30 am at the Tarrytown Metro North train station where we will head to the trailhead by carpooling once everyone has arrived. (20 minute ride from trailhead)
* Special Note: The time range of the event includes the optional After Hike Mingle and is flexible.*
Directions for those who don’t drive:
1) You could carpool with your friendly and welcoming group members (Very Popular Option)
OR
2) Take the train from Grand Central to the Tarrytown train station on the Hudson line of the Metro North. (20 minutes from the trailhead).
